<p><strong>The Challenge 🧩</strong></p>
<p>As a member of our Finance team, the FP&A Analyst will help drive financial planning, analysis, and reporting at Wallapop. In this role, you will play a key part in translating complex business data into meaningful financial insights, building clear reports, and supporting business decision-making.</p>
<p>You will combine analytical rigor with collaborative problem-solving—partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure our financial reporting is accurate, timely, and actionable.</p>
<p><strong>What You Will Do 👇</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Monthly Closing & P&L Ownership:</strong> Participate in month-end closing activities by reviewing expense accruals and deferred expenses to ensure the P&L accurately reflects business performance.</li>
<li><strong>Trend & Variance Analysis:</strong> Track key performance indicators (KPIs) across the P&L, balance sheet, and headcount. Analyze variances between actuals and forecasts to identify business risks and opportunities.</li>
<li><strong>Dashboards & Management Reporting:</strong> Build, maintain, and consolidate clear financial dashboards that streamline reporting for leadership and departmental teams.</li>
<li><strong>Forecasting & Budgeting Support:</strong> Provide analytical insights and financial modeling support to help teams hit their strategic and operational goals.</li>
<li><strong>Ad-Hoc Analysis:</strong> Prepare targeted financial analysis for cross-functional initiatives, including revenue growth, international expansion, and team-specific projects.</li>
<li><strong>Stakeholder Partnership:</strong> Support internal business partners with timely financial data, clear explanations of business assumptions, and actionable recommendations.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What We’re Looking For 🔎</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Financial Foundations:</strong> Practical experience in an FP&A, accounting, or broader finance role, with a solid understanding of month-end closing, P&L analysis, and budgeting principles.(between 1-3 years max.)</li>
<li><strong>Data & Analytical Skills:</strong> Strong quantitative and financial modeling abilities—comfortable working in Excel (formulas, data structuring) to spot trends, analyze unexpected variances, and turn raw data into insights.</li>
<li>Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) </li>
<li><strong>Process Improvement Mindset:</strong> Curiosity and drive to optimize workflows—whether that means refining a reporting pipeline, building a cleaner dashboard, or automating repetitive tasks.</li>
<li><strong>Adaptability & Collaboration:</strong> Ability to manage multiple monthly priorities independently while maintaining strong, supportive working relationships across international teams.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What Would Be A Plus 🚀</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with modern financial tools such as NetSuite, or dedicated planning and forecasting software.</li>
<li>Experience creating clear presentation decks (PowerPoint/Google Slides) for executive audiences.</li>
<li>Prior experience working in a tech company, e-commerce platform, or high-growth environment.</li>
</ul>
<p>Do note that all our jobs are <strong>Barcelona based</strong>. We work in a <strong>mostly remote capacity </strong>offering great flexibility to our employees, but we believe in the power of getting together regularly in our office. As a first iteration, we expect a <strong>4+ day/month office attendance</strong> for which the specifics are decided on a team level.</p>

<p>What does<strong data-redactor-tag="strong"> the hiring process </strong>for this position look like? <em>**Please, note that all interviews take place remotely over hangouts.**</em></p>
<p><strong data-redactor-tag="strong">1) Intro Call</strong> - run by talent acquisition, focus on providing more information about the role and the company as well as going over your experience, motivation, and expectations. This usually takes 45 minutes.</p>
<p><strong>2) Task / Expertise Interview</strong>: you will be assigned a task to submit in 3/4 days where you will be able to showcase your expertise / technical skills required for the role. The interview will be run by the hiring team, focus on the required core skills and the ability to deliver in a given context. This usually takes 60.</p>
<p><strong>3) Stakeholder Interview<span style="font-weight: 400;"> - run by relevant stakeholders reflecting the reality of the context of the role, focus on the ability to collaborate & deliver in a cross-functional set-up. This usually takes 60 minutes.</span></strong></p>
<p><strong>4) Culture-Add Interview</strong> - run by culture interviewers, focus on adherence to Wallapop's purpose and business proposition. This usually takes 45 minutes. </p>
